IHE joins Abbott in announcing the 2019 UNIVANTS of Healthcare Excellence award winners

The IHE is pleased to have collaborated with global health industry leaders to launch the UNIVANTS of Healthcare Excellence award and announce the 2019 award winners.

The IHE is pleased to have partnered with Abbott and other global health industry leaders to launch the UNIVANTS of Healthcare Excellence award. This annual award honours integrated, multidisciplinary clinical care teams with innovative approaches to achieve measurably better healthcare performance for patients, clinicians, payers, and healthcare institutions.

The UNIVANTS of Healthcare Excellence award was developed through strategic collaborations among Abbott, the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC), the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC), European Health Management Association (EHMA), Modern Healthcare, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ), and the IHE.

The winners of the 2019 UNIVANTS of Healthcare Excellence Award were announced this summer and can be found HERE. The winning care teams demonstrated an ability to work in new ways, across different healthcare disciplines – such as gynecology and obstetrics, nephrology, information technology, or the diagnostic core laboratory – to solve challenges facing hospital systems across the globe and their patients.
