Diagnostic Imaging workshops

The Institute of Health Economics has conducted a variety of engagements in the area of Diagnostic Imaging. Below is information on two recent workshops:
Diagnostic Imaging(DI): CIHI/IHE workshop - Feb 2012
In February 2012, the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) in partnership with the Institute of Health Economics (IHE) sponsored a two day meeting of content, administrative and research experts to identify the breadth of diagnostic imaging studies that CIHI might feasibly undertake with its data or with data that could be easily obtained. The purpose of this report is to summarize the meeting proceedings and the recommendations stemming from the discussion.

Diagnostic Imaging (DI) Workshop - Encouraging Optimal Use of DI in Low Back Pain - October 2010
On October 26 & 27, 2010, the Institute of Health Economics (IHE) conducted an invitational workshop on the optimal use of diagnostic imaging (CT and MRI) based on the recommendations from the low back pain guideline.
