IHE Report Lauded by Health Council

In reviewing Everybody's Business: the Cost of Multi-Department Involvement in Public Health in Alberta, Health Council CEO, John Abbott noted the importance of taking a more integrated approach to tackling the "wicked problem" of inequalities with respect to social determinants of health. He praises the report's authors, Dr. Phil Jacobs, Jessica Moffatt, Dr. Egon Jonsson, and Dr. Arto Ohinmaa of the IHE, and Cathy Gladwin of the Alberta Injury Prevention Centre, for producing a work that supports a "whole-of-government approach" to finding solutions to many of the challenges facing today's health systems.
